You mentioned you took measurements. With your desk in the proposed layout, is there enough room between the desk and the bookshelves? Also aren't you trapping yourself behind the desk with the proposed layout? Thirdly, forgive me but, a portion of your desk looks like a phallic symbol.
I think there is enough space between the desk and the bookshelves. Also, there is some space for me to get around the edge of my desk so that I can reach the heart of the office where my chair is located. Finally, I'm going to ignore the phallic symbol comment.
I am hoping that the desk I'm using now can just be transplanted to my new location. That would be ideal.
