He hasn't been feeling well, lately. For about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, he hasn't really been eating much. Today, when I came in, I noticed that one of his little fins (not the big ones) was missing. (It's the tiny one on his right that is just below the main fins on his sides that he uses to move himself around.) Also, he looks kinda bloated, and he is listing to the right. Here's a video. Near the end, I think you can see him listing to the right.
I just don't know what to do! Stubbie's Godmother suggested that maybe he doesn't like the office's filtered water and I should go back to giving him dechlorinated tap water. I'm going to try to change out his water little by little today to see how he does.
stubbie learned the side stroke!
ReplyDeleteI think he might have swim bladder disorder. What do you guys think?
ReplyDelete"It comes from overfeeding... [or being] stressed."
ReplyDeleteStubbie just can't keep up with your eating habits and law firm environment. Poor little Stubbie needs to go in-house and on a diet.
Thanks, now I am convinced I have Ick, Dropsy and Velvet.
Why do fish get the cold shoulder? Remember when Shakespeare Teacher called you a "Cat Lady?" Well, stubbie doesn't get enough pub here on your blog. If he wasn't treated like a cold fish then I think he'd perk up. Where's the stubbie love, people?
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, Man from U.N.C.L.E., that Stubbie doesn't get as much attention on the blog as the kitties do, but I guess it's because he doesn't meow. If you heard the Nu kitties, you'd want to hug them and squeeze them. Stubbie, on the other hand, is generally quiet and toils away at his desk all day.
ReplyDeletebtw, he's not doing so well still. He's still not eating. Now, it looks like there's a little bump on his back half (looks like it may be constipation), and he's really having trouble swimming. I'm going to have to feed him the pea.
