Guest Blogger Adjustment
A few days ago, I mentioned that there would be a Guest Blogger Adjustment. Here is how that will work. Based upon the status of each guest blogger, they will receive a number of bonus rolls:
1 bonus roll: KETCHUP status
2 bonus rolls: MAYO status (or, SUPER KETCHUP status)
3 bonus rolls: SOY SAUCE status
4 bonus rolls: MAGGI SAUCE status
Of course, no guest blogger has achieved MAGGI SAUCE status yet, so no one will be receiving 4 bonus rolls. Snakeye, please roll for the following guest bloggers:
MonkeyPig (16--SOY SAUCE status) -- 3 rolls
Freelance Midget (11--MAYO status) -- 2 rolls
Cl. Panic (21--SOY SAUCE status) -- 3 rolls
Man from U.N.C.L.E. (9--SUPER KETCHUP status) -- 2 rolls
Sushi Cat (6--MAYO status) -- 2 rolls, plus 2 rolls for being the bestest kitty in the world = 4 rolls

But that does raise a philosophical question. Is the most worthy TWoNNC one who follows NN's edicts without question, or one who challenges authority in order to make the blog a better and fairer place?
Oh and MFU could win if you would allow some free choice in willing of points per Proposed Rule No. 8.
TWoNNCotY should be the person who participated the most, and not just during competition time. The competition questions are just to help those who didn't guest blog but read a lot to have a chance, too. (This is why I switched to non-searchable questions.) And, since the purpose of TWoNNCotY is to award the person who participated the most, willing of points would be counter-productive.

Q: Has the offer of Guest Blogger status been extended to Sluggy? If not, then I think the GBA offers an unfair advantage to those of us to whom it has been extended.
ReplyDeleteI undesrtand NN that you want to reward your faithful contributors and participants, but by asserting the GBA you are creating a bifurcated system, one that is separate and not necessarily equal for TWoNN citizenry. I, for one, wouldn't want to benefit from a "country club" atmosphere where some individuals are excluded from the benefits that others are entitled to simply because of an activity one chooses, or does not choose, to engage in. Such a system of apartheid cannot justly be supported by MFU.

ReplyDeleteUnrelated to GBA, Sluggy requested guest blogger ability a couple weeks back and received access. I think NN would permit almost anyone who requests permission to post at least one guest blog (through NN if not directly), so it is possibly equal opportunity.
But I do think the GBA provides a benefit to TWoNN citizens who have something to say or are funny, unlike sluggy who has yet to think of anything to write that anyone else would care to read. *sniff*

The offer was extended several times in the past, dating all the way back to the time when the blog was in its infancy. Recently, however, the offer was accepted and sluggy was therefore granted access. As for having a benefit that others are not entitled to, I don't think that that is the case. I have always encouraged people to guest blog, so the benefit was there for anyone to take.
But I do think the GBA provides a benefit to TWoNN citizens who have something to say or are funny, unlike sluggy who has yet to think of anything to write that anyone else would care to read. *sniff*
How many times must I say this? WE ARE NOT PINKO-COMMIES HERE! People can post whatever they want, even if say lewd or boring things! Look at Mr. Nonny Nu--he doesn't have a problem posting, does he? People, I have experienced MANY comment-less posts (e.g., the one about the hobo), and you don't see me quieting down, do you?
So, enough. Man from U.N.C.L.E., you are going to eat the points whether you like it or not. And, sluggy, you are going to go hungry whether you like it or not. (HAHA!! That bacon better be offered to me next time...)
